I created this website in order to help my extended O’Rear family discover the wonderful O’Rear family lineage story.

It is my hope that other researchers find this site and that it would be useful in their ancestry pursuits.

This is a picture (taken about 1919) of my maternal Great grandfather John Dunbar Bee on the right and my maternal Great Grandmother Lilla Gertrude Thurston on the left. I called her “Grandma Bee” growing up. I never knew John Dunbar Bee as he had died

My Grandmother, Marion Frances Bee, is the little girl on Lilla’s lap. The little girl in front is Evelyn Bee (who I called Aunt Ebby) and the taller girl in back is Lillian (“Lulla”).
